Manufacturing Process of Advantame E969
Dissolve aspartame and 3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenylpropionaldehyde in an 80% methanol solution. Then transport the solution into the hydrogenation reactor and add a nickel metal catalyst. Replace the air in the reactor with nitrogen, then replace the nitrogen with hydrogen, and set the hydrogen pressure to 10 atm. Keep the reaction at 35℃ and 0.1 MPa for 48 h. After the reaction is finished, release the reaction pressure, replace the hydrogen with nitrogen, and then filter the solution under reduced pressure. Add a 20% methanol solution and dissolve the final reaction solution. Separate it and crystallize it to get a pure advantame product.
